Amelia Island, Fernandina Beach, and the Historic District
(1/2) I desired striking - in design, detail and color - doors for our custom freestanding two-story garage. These doors and Chippendale door panels are finely handcrafted by Michael Warren. Black brackets and door hardware were sourced from carefully selected sources throughout the country.
(2/2) For me, as an owner, design should never be superficial or designed merely for appearance. It should have both form and function. I designed the backsides of the garage doors - mostly unseen and then painted white - to reflect the same carefully curated design vocabulary as the doors as seen from the street.
